Strengthening Motherwell's voice

It has been a busy few months for the Motherwell Community Forum. Our members have been involved in a number of activities to promote its work and ensure that it meets the needs of some of Motherwell’s hard-to-reach communities and groups.

With the aid of funding from NHS Lanarkshire, we’ve been involved in a number of projects and events targeted at communities and areas that traditionally have not been involved with either the forum or other services.

Goodbye Mary

The forum would like to signal its thanks and good wishes to Mary Flannigan, a senior community learning and development worker based in Forgewood. After working in Forgewood for six years, Mary has now moved to the Wishaw Locality.

Mary worked closely with 50+ Management Group, North Motherwell Community Partnership Forum and helped established North Motherwell Pavilion Youth Project.

Mary could always be relied upon to deliver whatever task she was set by the Forum, always on time and with a smile, ever the professional, another of the unsung individuals whose contribution/support of the Forum over the years was crucial to our development.
